Reflections of Creation

One of the greatest things that God has given humans is the ability to see beauty in the world around us. I have never noticed my dog stop and stare at the beauty of a forest or the incredible colors of a sunset, but these things have the ability to stop me in my tracks in wonder and awe. This website is my attempt to capture some of the beauty and glory of an indescribable God by capturing reflections of Him that I see in His creation.

There is no way 20 birds can fit on that little sign! I mean, come on; one fits, but no way would 20 fit there!

field trip Thursday, March 25, 2010 | 0

This group of high schoolers got to take a field trip to see some vintage WWII planes, including this B-25. I took a couple of minutes to experiment and desaturate this picture. Since I kinda liked the way this turned out, I decided to post it.

easter's coming Sunday, March 21, 2010 | 2

And for those keeping track of my personal life, the Christmas tree and decorations are finally down. I think taking them down on the first day of spring will be what everyone's doing next year. Alison and I are starting a trend!

a creepy headstone Saturday, March 20, 2010 | 1

I'm fascinated by the fact that skulls, especially winged skulls, were popular headstone decorations in the 17th and early 18th centuries. This just doesn't seem very comforting to me.

tiny olympics Thursday, March 18, 2010 | 0

This is part of a mockup of Sochi, Russia and what they are doing for the 2014 Winter Olympics. We're going to start saving money now to go to the Olympics there and tell people about Jesus in Russia. Anyone want to go with us?

I miss fall Wednesday, March 17, 2010 | 1

Okay, I'm sorry I've been gone for almost a month. I know there's not that many people who look at my blog, and you guys have been missing it. I have three reasons why I haven't blogged lately:

1) I lost my hard drive I keep my pictures on. Since I use it for work as well, it gets carried around a lot and occasionally misplaced. I have since found it, and that made me very happy. Now, if I can just remember where I put it again.....

2) My laptop made a funny noise and has not been heard from since. I really loved that laptop, and I don't have the software I need installed anywhere else to process the raw files my camera takes.

3) Laziness.

Okay, so I have one real reason I haven't been blogging (#3), and 2 excuses. Well, here's a blog post for today. I've been craving fall lately, so I like this picture.

Reflections of Creation

the most important part of this website

I enjoy photography and I always find myself wanting more time to be outside with a camera. The idea of posting my pictures was born out of the love for my wife, Alison (alisonbryantwrites.com), who hates it when I do not take my days off. This website, reflections of creation, is a way to force me to get out of the office from time to time and putting me outside where I love to be. While a creative outlet for me, I hope this is an encouraging site for you, and one which helps point you to the Creator of all this beauty around us. God is so much bigger and amazing than we could ever imagine, and He loves you and me! What an amazing thought! He loves us so much that He was even willing to let His son, Jesus, die as a sacrifice for us. That fact is more beautiful than any picture you will see on this website. I hope you know Jesus, but if you do not, please email me or go to www.needHim.org. Thanks again for coming and stop by again soon.
