Reflections of Creation

One of the greatest things that God has given humans is the ability to see beauty in the world around us. I have never noticed my dog stop and stare at the beauty of a forest or the incredible colors of a sunset, but these things have the ability to stop me in my tracks in wonder and awe. This website is my attempt to capture some of the beauty and glory of an indescribable God by capturing reflections of Him that I see in His creation.

the water is falling so of course it is called a waterfall...it doesn't matter how far it is falling. :)

I have been missing your blog. I haven't had my normal early mornings to prowl on the net this week as I have been staying up really late. So let's see, to comment on the last week...
*LOVED the knarled branches and flowers photo, but I like busy things...just look at my layouts.
*The Carlsbad glow photos are phenomenal even if the second one is glow from the drilling rigs (a sight that I miss around here...you don't realize how much that is a part of the night landscape of home until it is gone.)
*love the light and the warm feeling from the building shot
*that water/leaves photo messes with me too....definitely feels like it is upside down.

I promise to try and be better about visiting! I love looking at your photography...it makes me want to go out and explore more with my camera.

Don't feel bad about not visiting. I designed this thing to be something where people could come every week or so and quickly see what they wanted and ignore what they didn't like. That's why I have two weeks worth of pictures on the main page.

I am surprised at people being messed up by the perspective on the branches dangling over the river. Maybe it doesn't mess me up because I picture the whole tree in my mind when I see it. Of course that happens because unlike most of you, I've actually seen the whole tree.

Also, at 5:15 in the morning, I'd think you have better things to do than check out my blog ;-)

the most important part of this website

I enjoy photography and I always find myself wanting more time to be outside with a camera. The idea of posting my pictures was born out of the love for my wife, Alison (alisonbryantwrites.com), who hates it when I do not take my days off. This website, reflections of creation, is a way to force me to get out of the office from time to time and putting me outside where I love to be. While a creative outlet for me, I hope this is an encouraging site for you, and one which helps point you to the Creator of all this beauty around us. God is so much bigger and amazing than we could ever imagine, and He loves you and me! What an amazing thought! He loves us so much that He was even willing to let His son, Jesus, die as a sacrifice for us. That fact is more beautiful than any picture you will see on this website. I hope you know Jesus, but if you do not, please email me or go to www.needHim.org. Thanks again for coming and stop by again soon.
