There are three things you should know about today's picture.
1) Our Christmas decorations are not up yet, but I wanted to take some sort of Christmas picture tonight, so I pulled this out. No decorations up yet: strike one.
2) When I opened up the nativity set, we apparently have had a nativity scene angel rapture. I jokingly thought, "God removed His representative because He does not want me to take pictures of this." Strike two.
3) I decided to keep batting though, and set up our nativity (sans angel of course). We have a stable with this nativity set, and I put one one of these candles right up to the edge of it to give some light to Mary's face. Guess what? I caught the moss on the roof of the stable on fire. So, we didn't have an angel, but we did have a flaming star of Bethlehem.
The stable is fine with no real damage to anything, but I hoped you'd find this story as hilarious as I do.
