Reflections of Creation

One of the greatest things that God has given humans is the ability to see beauty in the world around us. I have never noticed my dog stop and stare at the beauty of a forest or the incredible colors of a sunset, but these things have the ability to stop me in my tracks in wonder and awe. This website is my attempt to capture some of the beauty and glory of an indescribable God by capturing reflections of Him that I see in His creation.

Okay, I'd say the pun in the title is intended, but I wouldn't want to admit to it.

For a couple of months I have wanted to do theme weeks where I would follow a theme in all of that week's postings (like all camera phone pictures, or everyday objects I use in work, etc). So starting Monday, I will have a week of one of my favorite types of photography-nighttime shots with exposure times between 15 and 45 seconds.

Hi. I read your comment at the bottom of this page. It sounds as if you really love the outdoors. You need to start asking God in what direction to go! If being outside makes you feel alive you need to start working toward that goal, because we need more Christians who are really alive and love life despite the circumstances they find themselves in. That is how the world will know and be attracted to God. The creator of heaven and earth!

Sounds like fun Dave. Are you going to continue the theme weeks after next week?

I'll do theme weeks every once in a while. I doubt I have any other theme I could do with the pictures I currently have to put up. The only reason I can do this first theme week is because I went out taking pictures one night this week.

So then, any suggestions on themes you want me to do? I would like to find some kind of fun theme to do.

The more often I look at this one, the more I'm convinced that it's one of my favorites. I think we should make a print of it and find a place for it here at home.

the most important part of this website

I enjoy photography and I always find myself wanting more time to be outside with a camera. The idea of posting my pictures was born out of the love for my wife, Alison (alisonbryantwrites.com), who hates it when I do not take my days off. This website, reflections of creation, is a way to force me to get out of the office from time to time and putting me outside where I love to be. While a creative outlet for me, I hope this is an encouraging site for you, and one which helps point you to the Creator of all this beauty around us. God is so much bigger and amazing than we could ever imagine, and He loves you and me! What an amazing thought! He loves us so much that He was even willing to let His son, Jesus, die as a sacrifice for us. That fact is more beautiful than any picture you will see on this website. I hope you know Jesus, but if you do not, please email me or go to www.needHim.org. Thanks again for coming and stop by again soon.
