On April 30th, Alison and I left Juneau on the cruise ship heading towards Sawyer Glacier. While the ship was heading up Tracey Arm Fjord, we were floored by how beautiful and colorful things were. At times, the walls were just these brown and black colors, and at times there were gorgeous trees covered in snow. I love the colors you see along the shoreline in this picture. The couple of hours it took going through this fjord ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.
The great thing was, we had no idea what was going to be beyond each curve in the fjord. It was quite a shock when we turned a corner, and there was the South Sawyer Glacier. Little did we know that people on the other side of the boat had been able to see the North Sawyer Glacier for a while.
Isn't that how God works though? All throughout life, He has these amazing experiences and incredible things He wants to do in your life. We just never know what's around the next bend. And what He shows you is probably different than what He will show me.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

This photo is absolutely the tops. I really like how the variety varies very violently.
