Reflections of Creation

One of the greatest things that God has given humans is the ability to see beauty in the world around us. I have never noticed my dog stop and stare at the beauty of a forest or the incredible colors of a sunset, but these things have the ability to stop me in my tracks in wonder and awe. This website is my attempt to capture some of the beauty and glory of an indescribable God by capturing reflections of Him that I see in His creation.

cold ice for a hot day

It's hard to believe, but this is post number 137 and picture numbers 165 & 166 on the blog (there are 178 pictures in my account, but some are duplicates and a couple weren't posted on the blog but I think there are around 165).

On another note, this picture is for you Will. Since you were complaining about the dessert air in the comments yesterday, and since it's only supposed to be 97 degrees today, here is a big chunk of ice to cool you off.

And Alison, since you requested a funny picture for today, here's the best I can give you. I know this appeared on my church blog, but it hasn't made an appearance here yet.

I know this glacier shot is not a great technical shot (you can't even see where the snowy mountains end and the gray skies begin), but it is a perfect vacation shot.

I just had to say that for the real photographers who sometimes look at this blog (and whose photography abilities I try to emulate).

(sigh) Wish we were back there.

What's funny about the Daisy picture is that as I'm looking at it, Daisy's right beside me on the floor, chomping away at another big bone.

I was trying to think of something witty to say, Daniel, but I'm brain-weary right now. All I can say in response is, "YES!"
When we got home a week ago, it was good to be home, but now I'm ready to go again. David and I are both restless for Alaska, Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, or someplace like Alpine or Fort Davis.
I'll be traveling off and on almost the whole month of June. That won't really count, though...David won't be with me, and it'll mostly be for work. Wow...just thinking about that makes me ready for another vacation. =)
So, how's that for your not-THIS-serious of a question, Dan?

the most important part of this website

I enjoy photography and I always find myself wanting more time to be outside with a camera. The idea of posting my pictures was born out of the love for my wife, Alison (alisonbryantwrites.com), who hates it when I do not take my days off. This website, reflections of creation, is a way to force me to get out of the office from time to time and putting me outside where I love to be. While a creative outlet for me, I hope this is an encouraging site for you, and one which helps point you to the Creator of all this beauty around us. God is so much bigger and amazing than we could ever imagine, and He loves you and me! What an amazing thought! He loves us so much that He was even willing to let His son, Jesus, die as a sacrifice for us. That fact is more beautiful than any picture you will see on this website. I hope you know Jesus, but if you do not, please email me or go to www.needHim.org. Thanks again for coming and stop by again soon.
